Welcome to the first Clarity2Freedom newsletter.
I love my work as an EOS Implementer. Helping a leadership team get clear, work through a hard issue, and build a business that supports the life they want is deeply rewarding.
That work is why I created the Clarity2Freedom website. It gives a home to the questions, articles, and resources my clients and others find helpful as they implement EOS.
My hope for this monthly note is simple: give you something useful to think about, a resource worth returning to, and an invitation to step back from the day-to-day demands of your business.
A question to begin with
What needs to happen this quarter to accomplish the objective of my Rocks?
Before moving on to the next thing on your list, take one Rock and picture the finish line. What will be different when it is done? What needs to happen along the way? Is there an obstacle or dependency that deserves your attention now?
Give yourself a few quiet minutes to think. Write down one next action and decide when you will take it.
This is one of the questions in 52 Weeks of Clarity. I’ve grouped the series into 13-week cycles, following calendar quarters to align with the EOS 90-day world. Each piece offers a question, useful resources, further reflection, and an optional AI prompt to help you think it through.
Winning the Financial Game
Winning the Financial Game looks at how the decisions people make every day affect profit, cash, and the choices available to an owner. It is a place to build your understanding of what the numbers are telling you.
The nine-article series connects everyday decisions about pricing, staffing, purchasing, and collections to the numbers on your financial statements. You’ll explore how the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement fit together, why profit and cash are different, and how a team can turn financial understanding into better decisions.
Start with the first lesson, or go straight to the question your business needs to answer. Each article ends with a practical question for your leadership team.
A few places to explore
The new Resources page gathers the resources I recommend to clients in one place. You’ll find EOS Worldwide’s books, podcasts, blog, official tools, and Academy, along with Mark O’Donnell’s LinkedIn page, Rocket Fuel resources for Visionaries and Integrators, and EOS Rollout resources. I’ve also included Ninety and Strety for teams looking for software to support their work with EOS.
You’ll also find articles on leadership, running a business, and using AI thoughtfully, alongside stories about my clients’ journey implementing EOS. I’ll keep adding to these resources over time.
An upcoming workshop for leaders and managers
On Wednesday, October 14, Nathen Fox is hosting a full-day Great Boss!™ Workshop at the Arid Club. I will be there helping Nathen by facilitating one of the breakout tables.
This workshop is especially useful for leaders and managers who are not on the leadership team but are responsible for leading people. The day focuses on practical ways to create accountability, engage team members, and become stronger people leaders by applying the 5 Leadership Abilities™ and the 5 Management Abilities™ from How to Be a Great Boss.
Date: Wednesday, October 14, 2026 Time: 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Location: The Arid Club
If someone on your team would benefit, feel free to reply and ask me about it.
Seed to Growth Conference
I will also be at the annual Seed to Growth Conference September 15–17 at Sun Valley Lodge. It brings founders, investors, and partners together for conversations about building, funding, and growing companies.
If you will be there and want to meet up, give me a shout.
Who should receive a copy of Traction?
Each month, I’m putting copies of Traction into the hands of a few growth-minded business owners, especially leaders of companies with 10 to 250 people in the Treasure Valley, elsewhere in Idaho, and the Seattle area.
Who is one owner you know who is building something meaningful and would appreciate a practical book about getting a leadership team aligned and executing well?
Send me their name or make a private introduction. I’ll personally include a note explaining why you thought of them.
Staying connected
This newsletter will be a monthly collection of ideas, questions, and resources. Each issue will also have a home in the website’s newsletter archive, so you can return to it or share it with someone on your team.
The Friday clarity email will be a separate, shorter note: one question and a link to the full piece when you want to go deeper.
Everything on Clarity2Freedom is intended to point you back to EOS and help you use its tools effectively. My official EOS Implementer page remains the place to learn about working with me to implement EOS in your business.
What are you working through right now? Send me a note and tell me. I’d enjoy hearing what would be useful to you.
